Architecture: Weekday's new store design

Gonzales Haas Aas, Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase, is an architecture duo located in Berlin who first met eachother in New York while working with the legendary Robert Wilson.
One of their new projects is the new design of the Weekday store in Neue Schönhauser Straße, Berlin. The store concept is both functional and contemporary and is about assembling elements and not about expensive handcraft furniture but low-cost materials. A new element are big high-tech LED screens which are the only colorful ones in the new Weekday store design. The idea of these screens was influenced by the LED screens on airpots which are used to communicate information about the arrival, departure, gate nr., etc. The screens will define zones from different brands and a piece created by Frédéric Teschner, a graphic designer based in Paris who was invited by the architecture duo and and Weekday themselves to not forget the importance of culture which is an essential part of the concept.

Music - Cvrbrthrs

Yesterday night while stuggling to fall a sleep I discovered these talented Youtubers who make to best and most creative covers and their videos are funny, too.
I'm talking about the CvrBrthrs (Cover Brothers) who are Andre K. Lai and Michael from Montreal, Canada. They cover different song, mostly from the genres Indie, Pop and Indietronic. These asian looking guys play a bunch of wacky instruments and produce beautyful sounds e.g. with chopsticks and bowl, glasses filled with water or with their old toy instrument and combine them with drums, guitar or piano notes which make it sound really professional. By using an adio editor they mix the sounds on the pc and add a nice, creative video to their uploaded songs.
My favourite ist definitely Gatekeeper by Feist.

Enjoy and check out their music on :

A Must-Have of the month. Generally glittery shoes are a must have this season. No matter as pump, ballerina or like these as flat oxfords.

ASOS Marketplace

The other day while browsing through the internet I discovered this vintage boutique by ASOS. For some of you I might not be something new, I have no idea since when the ASOS Marketplace exisicts but I think it's a really great idea for vintage lovers and for people who want to get rid of old clothes other people might like to wear. Why through away clothes when you can sell it to people who would like to buy it? It's also great for those who hate seeing people wearing the same clothes and who rather wear unique vintage pieces.

Shwood: Experiment with Nature

Just discovered these fancy sunglasses created out of wood.
Shwood is known for their in Portland, Oregan handcrafted wooden eyewear.

"A simple experiment with nature. Born from the limb of a Mandrone tree, a rusty pair of cabinet hinges, and lenses from the corner store, Shwood has been a curious endeavor from the beginning. An endeavor to create a product that encompasses the individuality and uniqueness that can only be found in natural surroundings. A desire to experiment with design, materials, and aesthetics in the search for something that works. Free from passing trends, the brand’s focus remains that of its roots, innovation and creation. Long live creativity." - Shwood
